The square footage never changed — how it functions did. The lower level was reworked to pull substantially more storage out of the same footprint than the original bar offered, and the covered patio is entirely new construction: a roofed outdoor living space with a white oak ceiling and a full masonry fireplace. The wall between the two is a custom folding assembly — an accordion window above the bar counter paired with an accordion door beside it, detailed to meet and latch at the center so the entire wall opens. With it open, the bar and the patio operate as a single room. The result is moody and smart, warm and cool tones held in balance from the cabinetry to the stone to the oak overhead.
